Our approach
Meeting young people where they are
We work with young people in a way that fits them — that might be talking, drawing, playing, or sitting quietly for a bit while we figure out what kind of day it is. Sessions don't feel clinical, and nobody's expected to have a tidy explanation for why they're here.
We're neuroaffirming. We don't treat being autistic or ADHD as a problem to fix — we work to understand how a young person's brain actually works, and help the people around them do the same.
· Children, teens, young adults, and parents
· 50-minute sessions, usually weekly or fortnightly to start
· Approaches: CBT, ACT, play-based, art-based, narrative
· Parents and carers looped in as needed — never behind a young person's back
What a first session looks like
Mostly listening. The aim of the first session is to understand the reason for seeking support, to ensure we are the right fit for yourself or your child. There is no expectation that anyone has a perfect explanation for why they're there.
